Ingredients for Sabudane Ki Khichdi to serve 4 adults:

1.      1.5 cups of Sago (Sabudana)
2.      2 medium sized potatoes boiled and cut in small pieces.
3.      ½ cup roasted, peeled and coarsely crushed groundnuts (shengdana).
4.      1 teaspoon salt.
5.      2 green chilies, chopped into small pieces.
6.      ½ teaspoon red chili powder or black pepper powder.
7.      ½ teaspoon sugar.
8.      1 teaspoon cumin seed (Jeera).
9.      1 tablespoon pure ghee.
How to make Sabudane Ki Khichdi:
1.      Wash sabudana thoroughly and drain water away.
2.      Leave moist sabudana covered for two hours.
3.      Mix sabudana, groundnuts, salt and sugar well.
4.      Heat ghee in a frying pan.
5.      Add cumin seeds(jeera), green chili pieces and potatoes in the given order.
6.      Roast potatoes for 2 minutes.
7.      Mix the sabudana mixture and red/black chili peppers in the frying pan and mix well.
8.      Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.
9.      Turn off the flame.
10.  Serve khichdi garnished with coriander, curd and potato chips.
